New Eccellenza professors for the BIOMO and BIOMED programs

Ivana Gasic is joining the Department of Cell Biology as an assistant professor. She will be studying tubulin quantity control and microtubule homeostasis. 

Ivana obtained her PhD with Patrick Meraldi at ETH Zurich, then joined Harvard Medical School as Merck Fellow of the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. 

Her new lab will be part of the Molecular Biosciences program.

Simon Braun is joining the Department of Genetic Medicine and Development. His research focus is epigenome editing to study chromatin remodeling during brain development. 

Simon obtained his PhD with Sebastian Jessberger at ETH Zuich, then did his postdoc with Gerald Crabtree at Standford. 

His new lab will be part of the Biomedical Sciences program.
